Hayley's first day of Kindergarten......

Hayley was so excited for her first day of school. So on Wednesday 8/26/09, she rode the big yellow bus for the first time. Scott, Nanny, and I all met at the bus stop to see her off. There were MANY other kindergartners waiting at the bus stop for afternoon Kindergarten. When the bus came, she was off and running and didn't look back. She got on that bus so fast, that I wasn't even able to get a picture :(
{Oh, and I will add not a tear was shed by anyone!! :)}

After I got home from work, she was anxious to tell me about her day. She said she made a lot of new friends...went out for recess for a whole 10 seconds (LOL)....and did a craft. I asked if she wanted to go back the next day...and she said "YES!!!!"

I am so glad she likes school {for now} little girl is GROWING up!!

Hayley's dressed in ALL PINK

waiting on the bus.......

Getting on the bus...if you look can see Scott in a white shirt..waiting with her to get on the bus...but I was too slow getting across the street to get her picture getting on the bus!

I haven't posted in quite a long time...thought that these pics (taken by Steve who has his own photography blog at ) were very cute of Brayden. The pictures were taken at Mady's 1st birthday...playing in the kiddie pool!!

A conversation between Hayley and I yesterday while walking at the outlets school shopping:

Hayley: "Mommy, what am I going to learn in Kindergarten?"

Me: "Well, Hayley, you will learn how to read."

Hayley: "But I already know how to read."

Me: " You will learn how to write."

Hayley: "But I already know how to write."

Me: "Okay, well, you will learn math."

Hayley: "Mom, I already now how to count."

Me: "You will learn to meet new friends."

Hayley: {with attitude} "I ALREADY know how to meet new friends."

Me: "Hayley, I am not sure what you will learn...but your teacher will teach you!"

Wow...Mrs. Whitcomb is going to have her hands full with this one!!
