Last night, we took Hayley and Brayden to Halloween in the Park @ Codorus State Park. It was a great time....the kids had a blast Trick-or-Treating in the campground. All the campsites were decorated for Halloween and there were a lot of original ideas out there...we went on a Hayride and saw the Loch Ness Monster of Lake Marburg {pretty scary stuff!!}. Both the kids got a lot of candy...now to do it all again tonight at my brother's house in East Berlin...we won't have to buy candy again until next Halloween!!!

Right before we went TOT...the picture is kind

Today, October 29, 2009 is his 1st Birthday...and he is spending his 1st birthday in the hospital with another bout of SVT.....please send him a birthday wish!!! And keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

A day at the farm

Today was my company picninc. For the past 10+ years, we have had A&A's fall picnic at my coworker's family dairy farm. The kiddos just LOVE it...and it is very interesting to see how the "farm" works...plus we get to eat A LOT of FOOD!! yummmmm This year, Hayley and her daddy stayed home since she woke up this morning with a fever and complaining of a headache and belly ache {crossing our fingers that it is just a 24-hour thing!!}
Here's a pic of Winnie sleeping with Hayley this morning...she just loves her "people" and knows when they are not feeling well!

So, Brayden and I ended up spending the day together...just the two of us {and a bunch of my coworkers...and a few COWS!!} Brayden fed the goats cheese curls {which was a favorite activity for one of my supervisors who passed away two years ago from pancreatic cancer} Every year that we go, I think of her passing out cheese curls to all of the kiddos to feed those goats although, I am pretty sure they would eat just about anything you offered them. Here are some pics of Brayden feeding the goats.

Then we went on a hayride.....which again, Brayden thought was just
TOO MUCH FUN!

Here's a pic of the two of us on the wagon.
The kiddos then decorated pumpkins...and with a little help from Mommy...Brayden ended up with a very cute pumpkin! We did bring one home for Hayley the we will hopefully carve tomorrow night.

Then it was off to the barn where the cows go before they are milked

....let's just say that I KNOW I would not want to be a dairy farmer. They were allowing the kids to milk the cows by hand...but Brayden was not interested at all...he thought that the cows being milked by the mechanical milker...was good enough for him.

We got to go see some "baby" cows....and I took a picture of this cute little brown and white cow...{wonder if she will produce chocolate milk???

It was such a BEAUTIFUL day for a picnic and too be with friends and their families. The day was also very bitter sweet, since Dr. Lanpher always attended this function...and who would have ever thought that 2008 would be his last A&A picninc. There are still days that I cannot believe that he is gone......in my 15 years working for his practice...I would have never thought that I wouldn't have seen him actually retire...55 is way to young..but he would have wanted us to keep going strong.

On the way home, Brayden and I saw this hot air balloon, so as I was driving I took a picture...what a beautiful day!!!

Handy Manny and the Lady Bug

Today we went to a children's Halloween Party. Brayden had wanted to dress as Handy Manny and Hayley didn't have a choice wanted to be a lady bug {thanks to her tap costume from the summer's dance recital!!} Don't they just look too cute??

So after a day of playing games and costume judging {they didn't win anything :(} We have a bowl full of candy...and we have not even been trick or treating yet!!!

Marsh family happenings...

So, for the past few weeks I have been very bad keeping up with this blog!! I am either having some type of writers block...or just not enough "excitement" in my life to blog about!! Over the past three weeks here is a synopsis of what has happened in the Marsh household!!

*painted the bathroom last week and Scott tiled it....it looks sooo nice

*Brayden had preschool pictures taken on Tuesday {yes, in a shirt that had to have a character on it. So, Woody and Buzz Lightyear it was!!

*Chaperoned a field trip with the Kindergarten class to the pumpkin patch. I had a great time and actually had 5 very cooperative 5 year olds....

TWilight saga
*Oh...I read ALL FOUR Twilight Series books {in three weeks :) }....and I have gone to the DARK SIDE!! I am sooooo TEAM Edward.....and my heart skips a beat every time I see a shiny silver Volvo {he he he} I am counting down the days until November 21st when some girls from our playgroup go to see the movie!!!! Now I have to be reading a book at all times...I have finished two since finishing the Twlight books...and am currently reading My Sister's Keeper..

*scheduled family pictures for last weekend to be taken outside...which then ended up being a WASH OUT for most of the weekend (rained from Thursday to early Sunday morning)...well wouldn't you know that after I canceled the pictures {since I had 13 people and 4 families to coordinate with....the sun actually came out in PA and about 4pm would have been a PERFECT time a picture....so we have rescheduled for Nov. 1st...and hopefully..

a) there will still be leaves on the trees

b) It is NOT raining!!

*Last Saturday we celebrated my grandfather's 75th birthday!! What a great time....and sooooo much food. I am so blessed to have all of my grandparents around to watch my kiddos grow....

I LOVE MY FAMILY!!

*Saturday night...we hung out in my brother's "redneck basement" as he calls it. It is really cute....just doesn't have dry wall on the walls...but they have it very homey!! We then played Rock Band...and I was so tickled to hear Hayley and A sing 70 & 80s songs.....oh, and I REALLY like playing the guitar!!

*Yesterday was Our 14th Wedding anniversary!! Wow...it has really been that long {actually we have been together for 17 years...but who is counting???} He has been out of town since Sunday night...and we are looking forward to him returning today!!

*Hayley has her first School Pictures today!! She is soooo excited....we are also supposed to go to the Park @ 9:45 {so I better get off of here soon}....and then drop Brayden off @ preschool...Hayley to the bus stop...and then I will have my niece M for a little this afternoon while my Mom goes for her mammogram.....fingers are crossed that it all comes back within normal limits!!!

Alright...well I better go get some stuff done if I am going to make it to the park by 9:45 and back by 11 to feed the kiddos lunch...and then back out by 11:45 to take Brayden to preschool...and then back home to get Hayley on the bus by 12:30...and then home to make an apple pie for my Stampin UP party tonight....going going going....busy busy busy...but love it!!
