Weekend in review

Hard to believe the weekend is all but OVER. We had a fairly busy weekend. Friday night, we actually didn't have anything to do. The kids were able to go outside and play for awhile since it was actually nice and not raining. Our neighbors got a new puppy (a pug named GIZMO). Since part of their fence fell down a few weeks ago after horrendous wind storms, they have not been able to let him out and run. So Doug brought Gizmo over as well as their two other dogs, Lily and Buddy....well all the dogs, including our Winnie, ran around and played. Brayden said to me, "Mommy, can we keep him??" (meaning Gizmo) and without any hesitation I said NO!! I know, mean mommy...the thought of a puppy makes me cringe..and besides Scott and I like just having one dog to contend with for now.

Saturday after Scott made us all waffles, I ventured out to Kohl's and to the grocery store (not one of my favorite things to do Kohl's yeah..but groceries NO!!) When I returned a few hours later {since Scott stayed with the kids and I got to do it solo}, I finished my pizza dough that was in my bread maker and started getting toppings together for my own homemade pizza. Hayley loves my pizza...but Brayden would much rather order from our favorite Pizza Shop! :) My friend Toni was coming over with her little girl who is Brayden's age. It was nice to catch up with her. The kiddos were ready for bed around 7:45 and I didn't hesitate to get them there. I spend the rest of the evening scrap booking (which resulted in only two pages that took me two hours but I was well worth it.

Sunday we had an Easter party to go to for the kiddos. Brayden wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with the Easter bunny so his big sister had to go get his "GIFT". Hayley got sidewalk chalk and Brayden got a bucket of bubbles {hopefully the rain stops so they can get outside to use this!}...oh and they also got a BUNCH of candy too.

Then it was off to a 5-year-old birthday party. It was a great day {despite the HAIL storm we had, this is the second time we have been at the Showman house when there was a hail storm} Weekends always go so fast.........

Not me Monday....

I did not pay for my lunch this week at McDonald's with all change....nope! Not Me!!

I did not think of skipping my DD dance class this week because I was just Way too tired!! 7:15-8:30 is really late for a 35 5 year old!! Nope...Not ME!!

I did not stay up for hours Saturday night playing with my new Cricut machine and then forget to leave my DD money from the tooth fairy! Not Me!!

I do not regularly play on my daughter's Webkins account....because I am not addicted to it!! NOPE!! NOT ME!!

This wonderful blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Gaining an hour....and losing another tooth!

Something missing??
Early Saturday morning....Hayley yelled, "my tooth fell out!!". This is the 3rd tooth she has lost since turning 5!! She has lost both of her bottom teeth and now one of her top teeth. Her tooth was loose (she informed me of this about 2 weeks ago when her second bottom tooth fell out). So Saturday morning, while she was playing on the lap top, her and Brayden most have had a little spat...and WHACK Brayden hit her in the mouth (accidentally I am sure!) I happened to be outfront with Scott at the time who was rotating the tires on his truck ...I honestly was only out there 5 minutes when the hoopla occur ed. We put the tooth in a safe place (for the Toothfairy) and then it was back to business as usual. I was awoken this morning to a sobbing Hayley by my bedside...I asked her what was wrong and she said the Toothfairy didn't come.....OMG, it had totally slipped my mind! I quickly told her that it was late when we informed the Toothfairy that her tooth fell out. The Toothfairy had informed me that she had a busy schedule that evening and she would try to fit Hayley in...but if not at night, she would fly in early in the morning. (pheww....) The Toothfairy did make an appearance later in the morning and left her $1.50 for her tooth. (it was the least she could do after forgetting her during the night *tisk *tisk)

Last night I was able to play around with my Cricut machine. My new cartridge (Paper Doll Dress UP) arrived on Friday. So finally at around 7:15 pm, I was able to sit down to do some crafting. I first finished a birthday card I was making for Hayley and Brayden's third cousins 4th birthday. I was very pleased with the card.....and here it is!!

I also played around with the PaperDoll dress UP....my goal is to make PaperDolls for Hayley. My friend A and I are going to plan a day to do this...I am very excited about this. The cartridge is simply amazing at all the clothes and dolls you can make.

After "Springing Forward" on Saturday night....my morning felt so rushed. We didn't get up until 9:15 (which to us was really 8:15). The kids had breakfast and then I started working on Hayley's Kindergarten Registration papers. An hour of filling out papers (which was basically rewriting everything about 100 10 times). Then it was time for bathes and then off to the birthday party. The kids enjoyed themselves and seeing what the birthday boy got (which was a lot of Superman an Power Rangers stuff) Then we went to Texas Roadhouse to have dinner with Pappy Dave. Brayden fell asleep and Hayley wasn't very hungry (probably didn't have anything to do with the two slices of pizza she at and cake and ice cream). Hayley enjoyed the balloon elephant that was made for her at the restaurant and Brayden got a giraffe. Tomorrow is back to work and then to register Hayley for Kindergarten......Where has the time gone?????

Cabin Days

This weekend we took the 2hr trip to our cabin close to Raystown....and yes, it is still VERRYY COLD there!! Just Nanny, Pop Pop, and the four of us went up. It was a nice weekend...although; Hayley ended up laying on the couch ALL weekend with a horrible cough and fever....aghhhhhh. I though that Brayden would be the one who would be sick...oh and Scott too, who was put on an antibiotic for strep throat on Friday before he left to go to the mountains...Brayden ended up being OK health wise, but a little devil otherwise!! (I thought he would be out of the terrible twos....but I actually think the trying threes are MUCH WORSE!!)

Can you believe that we even took the Wii along to the cabin!!! and OMG did we have fun!! I actually have a sore arm from playing bowling....can you believe that I didn't even set foot outside the whole weekend except to bring the luggage in Friday night and then today when we packed back up...again it was VERRYY COLD!! ( I am patiently waiting for SPRING)

After returning home and unpacking totally too much stuff that was taken along for only two days, we had dinner (fish and mac and cheese that Scott made) and gave the kiddos bathes... than my Mom called to tell me that after they drove the 2hrs back from the cabin, she realized that they had forgotten some things....and now my Dad was driving back to pick up the stuff and driving back home tonight.....CRAZY...I should definitely be in bed know since my sleep this weekend was very scarce with one sick kiddo...and one NEEDY three year old....

Ready...Set....GO....for one crazy busy week!!
