Our Saturday Adventure

On Saturday, I took the kids to The 40th Annual Maple Syrup Festival in Thurmont, MD. I is a small little festival, but was very informative on how maple syrup is made. Did you have any idea that it take 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of pure maple syrup?? Also, be thankful that we do not fuel our cars with pure maple syrup...because we would ALL go broke since one gallon of pure maple syrup costs approximately $50. {whewww}

There were crafts for the kids to make. Hayley enjoyed the music and actually went up to sing Old MacDonald had a Farm with all the other kids. She was the cat...and made the cutest "meow" when it was her turn.

Then both Hayley and Brayden listened to the music

It was a BEAUTIFUL Saturday for the Festival {which was great since last weekend was such a WASH OUT!}

They had maple syrup, candies, and cream to purchase...and we left with one pint of
PURE Maple Syrup

{which cost me $10}
but well worth it on the waffles that DH made
for us on Sunday morning....yum yum

What an enjoyable day!!

We ended the day with homemade Chicken Pot Pie at Nanny's
with our wonderful family!!!
